Our outdoor area is second to none. It is a superb environment where we can offer a full curriculum outside. The specific areas include.
Large construction with natural substances.
Outdoor percussion - creative play.
Blackboards for mark making.
Climbing equipment to encourage gross motor skills.
Sandpit and relevant toys.
Summer house where we are able to setup role play encouraging
personal social and emotional development.
We also offer a large number of outdoor activities such as push bikes, scooters,
balls, hoops, skipping ropes, connect 4, hoopla, and so much more.
The outdoor area also has picnic tables and benches for small group work, our garden has a selection of large trees which offer natural shade during summer months. The playground is fully fitted with rubber and is therefore all weathers, we try to go outside at some point everyday.
We also have various areas to plant, we have boxes full of different herbs for the children to smell and feel, the children over the recent months have grown potatoes, green beans, broccoli, tomatoes, lettuce, carrots and beetroot. The children enjoy planting, looking after the young plants and then actually harvesting and eating their handy work.
