Health and Safety
Health and safety is a prime concern of the nursery. All the staff members follow health and safety guidelines at all times.
The nursery carries out regular fire practices which ensure that in the case of an emergency we have a very efficient evacuation routine.
The nursery is very conscious of the need for security. We take very careful steps to ensure the constant safety of all our children.
These arrangements are discussed in detail with the manager upon registration.
Accident Procedure
The nursery reserves the right to administer basic first aid treatment when necessary. Parents will be informed of all accidents and
will be required to sign the accident book upon arrival.
Feeds
Please supply milk and sterile bottles and these will be made as required. Once weaning commences you may like to provide
baby foods of your choice and this is perfectly acceptable or we can puree our own fresh from kitchen.
Nappies
Please provide sufficient nappies for your baby`s needs. we will never under any circumstances, leave your child wet or uncomfortable.
Lea Funding
The nursery is registered with the Local Authority and inspected by Ofsted on a regular basis. We will accept LEA funding as part payment
for nursery fees. Children receive funding the term after their third birthday.
Incident Book
Following our recent Ofted inspection we have been advised that we should record existing injuries of children on their arrival at nursery, e.g.
bumps and bruises. If you know your child has a visible injury please specify on arrival, when a form can be signed by yourself and counter signed by us.
This will be a form similar to the accident reports we ask you to sign if something happens in our care.
Nursery Policy on Sun Care
During summer months, could parents please try to follow Nursery policy on the sun care. We hope to achieve this by following the points listed below:
Children to bring a hat
Make sure shoulders and necks are covered by appropriate clothing
Sun creams - make sure it is applied before nursery or send some in your child`s bag for us to apply. Let us know if you do NOT want us to apply cream

Children at nursery will not play out in direct sunlight. Outdoor activities will be carried out in shaded areas i.e.; using shade from buildings and trees.
